Ecopetrol reported that its average production in the first half of 2025 was 743,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period in 2024.

Despite the increase in production, net profit fell 12% compared to the first half of the previous year, reaching 12.5 billion pesos. The company explained that this decrease was primarily due to the drop in international crude oil prices and increased costs associated with transportation and operations.

Ecopetrol President Ricardo Roa noted that the company has maintained its commitment to investing in the energy transition, allocating part of its revenue to renewable energy, green hydrogen, and emissions reduction projects.

During the same period, exports accounted for nearly 60% of sales, with the main destinations being the United States, China, and European countries, despite a volatile global energy price environment.

The state-owned oil company reiterated that it will continue its strategy of energy diversification and production strengthening, seeking a balance between profitability and sustainability.
