The National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) reported that Colombia's imports reached US$6.484 billion CIF in July 2025. This figure represented a 16.2% increase compared to the same month last year.
This performance was primarily due to the manufacturing sector, which registered annual growth of 12.9% and accounted for 76.7% of the total imported value in the month analyzed.
Within manufacturing, the largest purchases were of chemical and related products, as well as manufactured goods classified primarily by material. These subgroups accounted for much of the reported growth.
According to DANE, other import categories (agricultural products, fuels, and miscellaneous products) maintained lower shares compared to the weight of manufactured goods in the total import structure.
