Statements attributed to Israel's Finance Minister on the Gaza Strip

During a real estate conference in Tel Aviv, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich asserted that the Gaza Strip represents a "real estate boom" that "pays for itself."

Smotrich stated that negotiations are already underway with the United States to divide the Palestinian territory. “It will be shared with the United States. Once it's destroyed, we'll see how we divide it up. We've invested a lot of money in this war. We need to see how we'll distribute the land in percentages (...) The demolition, the first phase of the city's renovation, is already complete, now we just need to rebuild,” the minister said.

The statements echo those of former US President Donald Trump, who previously spoke of plans to turn the Gaza Strip into a "riviera" under US control.

The information was released by the Colombian media outlet Última Hora Caracol through its official account on the social network X.
