The National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) reported that the Economic Monitoring Indicator (ISE) grew 4.33% annually in July 2025, compared to the same month in 2024. The figure corresponds to the index's original series, while the series adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects registered a growth of 4.14%.

Among the sectors that drove growth were trade, transportation, and accommodation, with a 6.7% increase; public administration, defense, education, and health, with a 7.0% increase; and manufacturing and construction, with a 4.3% increase.

President Gustavo Petro highlighted on social media that the economy is showing a rebound in industry, agriculture, and public services. He also noted that commerce "is bursting at the seams with sales" and stressed the importance of accelerating the energy transition and agroindustrial exports.

Petro stated that the national economy is officially "fully reactivated" and maintained that a possible interest rate reduction by the Bank of the Republic would allow for a stronger push for building construction.

DANE's technical bulletin also shows that, in the year-to-date period through July, the ISE grew 2.7% compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting a sustained recovery compared to the previous year.
